The Kinder Institute and MU College of Arts and Science have introduced a Bachelor of Arts in Constitutional Democracy for University of Missouri undergraduates. This program's core curriculum examines the philosophical foundations and historical developments that influenced America's political systems and societal values during its formative years. As students progress, they'll specialize in one of four focus areas through advanced coursework: Global Relations & America, Governance & Public Policy, Legal Systems & Structures, or Ideologies & Political Philosophy. This program cultivates informed civic participation, leadership skills, and community involvement by critically analyzing persistent challenges that democratic societies worldwide have faced and overcome throughout history, from their inception to contemporary times.
