The Master of Science in Software Engineering (MSSE) program delivers comprehensive knowledge of core software development concepts and methodologies. The MSSE coursework establishes a strong foundation in theoretical approaches, fundamental principles, and practical tools, while addressing key software engineering challenges and workflows. These principles are demonstrated through real-world case studies and hands-on projects to validate their practical application. This interdisciplinary program, managed by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering within the College of Science and Engineering, features a schedule tailored for employed professionals. Participants attend classes one day weekly (rotating between Fridays and Saturdays) and progress through the program as a unified group, completing all coursework together over four consecutive terms.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.00.
Prospective students should have an undergraduate degree in computer science or a closely related field.

Admission is for fall semester only. The early application deadline is February 28. The final deadline is June 30.
