The Comparative and Molecular Biosciences (CMB) program aims to educate exceptional researchers in understanding fundamental biological processes related to animal and human health and illness. Adopting a One Health perspective, the CMB program studies diverse species such as humans, lab animals, pets, and farm animals. This interdisciplinary initiative combines expertise from basic, applied, and clinical sciences across multiple departments to deliver personalized, advanced biomedical research education. Key focus areas encompass genetic and infectious disorders, along with comparative biological and pathological studies among animals and humans. The curriculum equips graduates for professional roles as independent researchers and educators in academic, corporate, and governmental settings. The master's program specifically develops technical skills and scientific expertise in core biological mechanisms affecting both animal and human health.
