Home to one of the nation's most distinguished immigration law faculties, featuring globally recognized professors with substantial scholarly contributions and deep practical experience. Unique clinics operated through the Center for New Americans—the sole program of its kind nationwide—collaborate with nonprofit immigration services and major law firms to deliver direct legal aid, pursue impactful federal cases, and advance U.S. immigration policy. Robust clinical and experiential programs spanning detainee rights, asylum law, federal litigation, and community education. Publishing pathways through the Minnesota Law Review, Minnesota Journal of International Law, and Law and Inequality.
