Health informatics (sometimes called biomedical informatics) is a multidisciplinary domain that utilizes computing, data science, statistics, organizational methods, and related scientific approaches to facilitate medical breakthroughs and enhance the practical utilization of health data. It focuses on optimizing information processing, knowledge implementation, and analytical capabilities spanning from fundamental research to patient care. The discipline aims to enhance public health outcomes, quality of life, and socioeconomic efficiency. Learners complete foundational coursework in health informatics and biostatistics, supplemented by specialized electives in technology and healthcare disciplines.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.00.
Applicants are expected to have at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education or an international equivalent.
