Youth development leadership (YDL) views leadership as an everyday practice accessible to people of all ages. Through this program, you'll examine your personal leadership journey alongside peers, community experts, and instructors. The curriculum helps you discover your leadership style, gain deeper insights into youth perspectives, and build stronger networks within the youth work field at local and international levels. You'll critically analyze common societal approaches to youth engagement and develop creative solutions for educational, organizational, and professional settings that push beyond conventional methods to support youth thriving. Combining cutting-edge youth development research with principles of inclusion, equity, and justice, the program equips graduates with collaborative skills, analytical thinking, and purposeful action to establish lasting youth and community initiatives. Upon completion, you'll possess the expertise to meaningfully engage with young people and reshape youth-focused institutions to more effectively serve diverse communities.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 2.80.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Other requirements to be completed before admission: At least two years of experience working with youth.
