Adult Education focuses on examining and applying methods through which mature students gain novel competencies, expertise, and capabilities to engage with contemporary society. Earning a Master's of Education in Adult Education (AdEd) equips you to create and execute diverse, impactful educational programs tailored for adult learners. You'll develop an advanced comprehension of the distinct obstacles and prospects encountered by adult students in academic advancement, career progression, and self-improvement. Potential roles include assisting immigrants, refugees, and displaced individuals in navigating unfamiliar surroundings, transforming lives of adults and non-traditional students facing literacy and numeracy challenges, or advising on optimal approaches for workforce training initiatives.
34 credits achievable within 1-2 years for full-time enrollment.
Anyone who has or will obtain a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a comparable degree from an officially recognized college or university outside the U.S. may apply for graduate admission.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 2.80.
