The program consists of faculty members whose primary appointments are in radiation oncology and radiology departments. Affiliated faculty hold their main positions in other departments. This program aims to equip students (1) for advanced studies, teaching, and research in medical physics, (2) to meet eligibility requirements for medical physics residency programs in radiation therapy or imaging, and (3) to deliver the mathematical and technical foundation necessary for success in the medical physics profession.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.00.
A degree in physics or engineering or other physical science. Equivalent of an undergraduate physics minor-at least 2 semesters of calculus based physics and at least 3 upper level physics courses.
