The linguistics PhD program is designed for individuals aiming for academic careers focused on linguistic research and instruction. Participants undertake studies across linguistics' principal disciplines while collaborating with an advisor to create a customized academic pathway. This tailored approach enables specialized focus within a selected linguistic subfield beyond the foundational curriculum.
Anyone who has or will obtain a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a comparable degree from an officially recognized college or university outside the U.S. may apply for graduate admission.
