The Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology (ECP) graduate program caters specifically to those pursuing clinical research careers. Its mission is to enhance human pharmacology science and therapeutic applications, promoting safer, more effective, and cost-efficient medication use for patients. The curriculum covers diverse areas including experimental drug therapies, metabolic processes of medications, infectious diseases, pharmacometric analysis, and genetic influences on drug response. This program equips graduates for excellence in clinical research fields. At the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, the ECP program offers a cutting-edge, multidisciplinary approach that prepares students to perform research integrating both fundamental and clinical pharmacological methodologies.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.00.
A U.S. bachelor's degree or a comparable foreign degree from a recognized college or university is required.
Preference is given to candidates who have had a professionally-related pharmacy education, but those from other fields such as biology, chemistry, statistics, and public health will be considered.
