Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) combines insights from computer science, sociology, and psychology to design superior interfaces, facilitate better interpersonal communication, and customize technology for specific personal or organizational requirements. Our HCI team particularly excels in creating collaborative interfaces that boost group productivity. Current projects involve designing coordination tools for mobile devices and implementing social science principles from economics and psychology to improve online community platforms. Additionally, the group has extensive expertise in recommendation systems, with a strong track record in algorithm development, interface design, and practical user applications.

A degree in any major with a substantial background in computer science is required, a computer science major is preferred.
A previous Master's degree is not required to apply to the Ph.D. program.
