Our department provides diverse research opportunities in environmental and green chemistry. Numerous faculty members lead projects with an environmental focus, integrating green chemistry principles and sustainability targets into their research aims. Key areas of expertise include atmospheric particles, aquatic photochemistry, reactive surfaces, creating innovative green chemistry educational resources, renewable materials, and analytical techniques.
As a participant in the Green Chemistry Commitment, we've integrated green chemistry lab experiments across our curriculum and established an advanced green chemistry course to train tomorrow's chemists in sustainable technologies.
Our researchers frequently collaborate with the Institute on the Environment to tackle critical global challenges through groundbreaking research, leadership development, and strategic partnerships. This fosters a collaborative atmosphere for solving complex, interdisciplinary problems by uniting experts from academia, government, and industry.
