The study of Physical Activity and Health Promotion examines ways individuals and families can enhance their physical activity levels and adopt healthier lifestyles to prevent illnesses or manage chronic conditions. Through coursework and practical applications, students learn to gather and assess data for developing, executing, tracking, and refining initiatives aimed at promoting active living and wellness. This program equips graduates for professional roles in areas like health coaching, workplace wellness programs, physical activity motivation, corporate fitness, and various health promotion sectors.
Student are required to have a high school graduation
A GPA above 2.0 is preferred for the following: 3.00 transferring from another University of Minnesota college; 3.00 transferring from outside the University
English Language Proficiency Requirements: TOEFL iBT – 79; IELTS Academic – 6.5; Pearson Test of Academic English (PTE Academic) – 59; Cambridge Assessment English (CAE) C1 Advanced – 180.
Application Deadline for Fall: For freshmen international students the deadlines are November 1 (early action 1 deadline), December 1 (early action 2 deadline) and January 1 (regular deadline)
