Sociology explores both continuity and transformation in societal structures by investigating the fundamental dynamics of social interactions within formal organizations, legal systems, and domestic, economic, and political spheres. The curriculum concentrates on law enforcement systems and criminal conduct, psychological well-being, family dynamics and intimate connections, schooling, metropolitan and countryside societies, governance and policy development, collective actions and societal evolution, varied cultural and ethnic communities, and social psychology. Faculty research comparing social structures and institutions across nations introduces a global perspective to these fields. Every sociology class highlights the analytical techniques required for examining social relationship patterns.
