The human physiology major focuses on comprehending how the human body functions, from cellular processes to complete organ systems. This curriculum builds on foundational concepts in chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biological sciences. It's especially well-suited for students planning to attend medical school or pursue advanced studies in biological, health, or biomedical fields. The mandatory coursework provides a robust foundation in biomedical science, with many requirements overlapping with medical school prerequisites. Students can customize their degree path to meet individual goals, selecting supplementary science courses for medical school preparation, other health professions programs, or graduate studies. The program also allows for a broader liberal arts education within CLA or the option to combine with a second major.
