The Policy & Political Social Work track equips students with the practice, theory, and skills needed to recognize and formulate equitable policies while participating in political processes to drive societal transformation. This pathway teaches the foundational theories of justice-oriented policymaking, cultivates analytical techniques for policy evaluation, examines political influences on client lives at individual and systemic levels, hones advocacy techniques for engaging with legislators, provides strategies to foster client political participation, and considers pathways to seeking elected positions.
