The HILS Program at U-M Medical School's Department of Learning Health Systems equips healthcare professionals and academics to drive innovation, leadership, and systemic transformation in healthcare. Through rigorous scientific methods, data analysis, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, we strive to institutionalize large-scale continuous improvement in healthcare systems. As part of the pioneering Department of Learning Health Sciences, HILS represents the country's inaugural basic science department dedicated to advancing system-wide learning processes.
A bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association; or an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned.
Applicants (MS and PhD) whose native language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency and are required to provide official score reports for one of the following:
