The MS program's curriculum includes essential coursework in human nutrition, designed to function as both a final degree for those pursuing academic and research paths, and as a foundation for doctoral studies. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a keen interest in science and health, hold an undergraduate degree in a basic or applied science discipline, and have completed prerequisite courses in biology, physiology, general and organic chemistry, biochemistry, and calculus.

The minimum acceptable TOEFL score required for admission is 560 paper-based, 220 computer-based (CBT) or 100 Internet-based (iBT).
