The Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering program is designed for students seeking to deepen their expertise in specific areas of the field. Earning this graduate degree requires a modest time commitment but opens doors to enhanced career prospects and substantially increased earning potential. While labeled differently, the MS (Master of Science) and MSE (Master of Science in Engineering) programs share identical curriculum requirements. Engineering undergraduates may choose either designation, whereas non-engineering bachelor's holders qualify only for the MS program. Current research initiatives in computer vision tackle pressing challenges, concentrating on interpreting and simulating visual environments from both still images and moving footage. Key objectives involve: i) comprehending the meaning behind materials, objects, and activities within visual data, ii) creating models that capture spatial arrangements and temporal dynamics of scenes. These computational methods pave the way for intelligent systems capable of real-world applications like self-guided navigation, security monitoring, and media content organization.
