The School of Information and Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy provide a combined degree option allowing eligible students to simultaneously study information science and public policy, earning both a Master of Science in Information (MSI) and Master of Public Policy (MPP). This MSI/MPP dual degree can be finished in three years. Up to 16 credits may be applied toward both degrees, decreasing the total credit requirement from 96 to 80. Prospective students must secure admission to both schools independently. Current first-year students at either school can apply for the dual program by submitting an application to the other school and expressing their intent to pursue both degrees.
