This 26-credit, two-semester program targets individuals holding a bachelor's in civil engineering or equivalent qualification who aim to build a career in construction. Applicants from other academic backgrounds may enroll but could need supplementary courses. The MEng (CE&M) curriculum features core construction engineering and management classes, specialized electives for focused learning, and complementary subject electives. To complete the M.Eng., students must earn 26 credits through either eight graduate courses plus two seminars or six courses with two seminars (if they've taken MTC-CEM previously), with no thesis requirement. The program focuses on practical construction skills, including a semester-long professional practice project. Participants must select at least two graduate-level courses outside construction, known as Secondary Electives, often chosen from business, architecture, industrial engineering, sustainability, math, or computer science fields.
Designed for those with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent and who want to pursue a professional career in the construction industry.
