This page outlines the fundamental requirements set by Rackham Graduate School and the History Department. While the listed courses represent minimum expectations, most students enroll in additional classes. They also engage in various academic pursuits such as reading groups, workshops, lecture series, conferences, and other scholarly endeavors throughout their studies. To assist with academic planning in line with Rackham's timelines and to inform departmental funding choices, students must complete an Annual Progress Report and discuss their academic advancement and future goals with their advisor.
