This PhD program aims to cultivate leaders capable of guiding colleges and universities, performing academic research, and making significant contributions to the education field. The program allows doctoral candidates to pursue interdisciplinary research interests through our flexible Individually Designed Concentration pathway. Within their first year, students can submit a proposal for this customized track, blending CSHPE coursework with relevant studies from other university departments. Each student partners with a CSHPE faculty advisor who aligns with their professional goals to create a tailored academic plan. Annual progress reviews with faculty ensure students remain on track. Course materials are accessible digitally, and as students' focus evolves, they may transition to a different advisor to better support their academic growth.
