The Developmental Psychology program equips students to become proficient, innovative psychologists attuned to real-world applications, with expertise in conducting and implementing rigorous social science research. A key advantage of our program lies in the varied research methodologies, viewpoints, and discoveries we apply to this fundamentally important human study field. Our Developmental Psychology program enjoys national and global recognition, encompassing the entire lifespan from early childhood through advanced age. Nineteen primary faculty members, along with additional affiliated professors, provide joint research training across social, cognitive, linguistic, and neurological development areas.
Applicants complete a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association; or complete an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned.
