The Social Studies program offers students a diverse selection of courses to explore and understand the systems and structures that influence societies and cultures. This interdisciplinary major aims to reconstruct the evolving landscape of human endeavors—whether cultural, economic, geographic, political, or social—while providing insights into modern human experiences. Ideal for those pursuing a well-rounded perspective on humanity's past, present, and future, the program is particularly beneficial for aspiring secondary educators, as well as individuals interested in careers in government, law, or business. Housed within the Social Sciences Department, Social Studies shares academic space with Economics, Political Science, History, and Urban & Regional Studies.
