The Geological Sciences Program allows students to explore and comprehend the dynamic processes that have formed our planet and solar system throughout their 4.6-billion-year history. The curriculum covers both subsurface and surface earth processes, examining the mechanisms driving plate tectonics and their visible effects like seismic activity and volcanic eruptions. Learners will utilize cutting-edge technologies including GPS and GIS applications for mapping geological formations, soil composition, water systems, and other environmental characteristics. Every earth science student begins with foundational courses in natural sciences and mathematics before choosing a focus in either geology or astronomy. The program also offers a customized track for those wishing to blend studies from both disciplines.
