The Cellular and Molecular Biology curriculum provides students with a comprehensive program that combines biological and physical sciences education. This pathway prepares students for graduate studies in biology and medicine, focusing on quantitative and analytical methods in the life sciences. The CMB:BME program is intended for students in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts and is co-managed by the Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) Department (College of LS&A) and the Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department (College of Engineering). Upon fulfilling all requirements, students will earn a B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology (CMB) from the College of LS&A and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering (BME) from the College of Engineering. This program is tailored for students in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts and is jointly overseen by the MCDB Department (College of LS&A) and the Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department (College of Engineering). Graduates will receive a B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology (CMB) from the College of LS&A and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering (BME) from the College of Engineering.
