Graduates of the undergraduate Secondary Certification Program are equipped to become skilled, compassionate, and thoughtful educators, certified to teach grades 6-12 in their selected subject areas. The program's coursework includes academic learning, professional training, and hands-on field experience. This equips graduates with both teaching methods and subject-specific expertise, preparing them to educate a variety of learners in middle and high school settings. During the program, students acquire the necessary experience to integrate technology into modern classrooms. Upon successful completion, candidates receive a bachelor's degree from the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters and a recommendation from the College of Education, Health, and Human Services faculty for the Michigan Secondary Standard Certificate, including endorsements in their major and optional minor teaching specialties.

Official high school academic documents All freshmen must submit official transcripts for all years of secondary school work completed (U.S. and abroad).
