The History Honors program caters to majors interested in conducting in-depth research and composing a comprehensive thesis on a self-selected topic, guided by a faculty advisor. The History Major provides a versatile curriculum that accommodates individual academic goals while exposing students to the department's diverse subject offerings. Through a combination of distribution requirements and personalized thematic tracks, the program ensures both depth and breadth of historical knowledge. Students collaborate with faculty mentors and academic advisors to design a tailored course of study that balances focused learning with intellectual discovery. History majors also gain opportunities for original research, often through specialized seminars or the Honors track. Some students complement their studies by pursuing teaching credentials via the School of Education.

International Students Should Submit the School Report.
Submit one Teacher Evaluation (core academic teacher or other non-relative who can speak directly to the student's academic aptitude, potential, and classroom performance).
Submit a Counselor Recommendation (encouraged, but not required).
Submit your high school transcript. An official English translation is required to accompany the transcript if the transcript is not issued in English by the school. Students who have already completed high school, including university transfer applicants, should be sure to have final high school transcript submitted showing the graduation date. Also provide a detailed explanation of any educational gaps.
TOEFL (iBT) - 100 range with section scores 23 plus in listening and reading and 21 plus in speaking and writing.

Duolingo (DET) - 130 range with section scores 120 plus
