Germany stands as Europe's most robust economy, with Michigan maintaining particularly strong economic connections to the country. Consequently, German ranks among the most crucial languages for commerce and technical fields. It also plays a pivotal role in acquiring direct, foundational understanding of modern philosophy, science, and artistic principles. By a significant measure, German remains the most commonly requested or suggested academic language. Throughout our language curriculum, we aim to engage students' intellectual capabilities and inquisitive nature. Our courses methodically cultivate all core language competencies (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), while consistently highlighting contextual understanding across all learning stages. A cornerstone of our program involves fostering cultural exploration and developing critical thinking about diverse perspectives through language study.
