Students completing the undergraduate Secondary Certification Program emerge as skilled, compassionate, and thoughtful educators qualified to instruct grades 6-12 in their selected subject areas. The program blends academic coursework, professional training, and hands-on classroom experience. Graduates develop both teaching methodologies and subject-matter expertise, equipping them to support varied learners in secondary education settings. Participants acquire practical skills for integrating technology into modern classrooms. Upon finishing the program, students receive their bachelor's degree from the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters along with the College of Education, Health, and Human Services' endorsement for the Michigan Secondary Standard Certificate, including approvals in their primary and potential minor teaching specializations.
