The undergraduate Anthropology Program highlights our department's dedication to four-field anthropology, covering Anthropological Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, Sociocultural Anthropology, and Linguistic Anthropology. This integrated perspective supports anthropology's core mission of developing a broad, comparative view of humankind. Pursuing an Anthropology major enriches a liberal arts education by fostering systematic insight into human behavior and social structures across diverse cultures and historical periods. Graduates have entered careers in research, preservation, teaching, legal fields, communications, political work, city planning, healthcare, product design, and marketing. Many have served with organizations like the Peace Corps, Americorps, and Teach for America, while others have joined corporate or nonprofit sectors. Alumni have pursued advanced studies in public health, social services, policy-making, and anthropology itself, with numerous students continuing to medical, legal, business, and veterinary programs.
