Actuarial Mathematics blends elements from business, economics, mathematics, and statistics. Simply put, it centers on risk assessment and mitigation. This program's coursework prepares students to earn Associate status with the Society of Actuaries (SOA). The curriculum includes three course pairs that fulfill the Society's Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) criteria. Remaining courses help students prepare for key SOA examinations: Probability, Financial Mathematics, and Investment & Financial Markets. Financial institutions, healthcare providers, major corporations, and insurance firms consistently seek entry-level professionals in this field. Candidates generally need to pass one or two SOA-administered exams to qualify for these roles.
