The Biology Department focuses on educating graduate students through comprehensive research training, offering a curriculum that covers key biological disciplines while maintaining adaptability for cross-disciplinary studies. Key areas of expertise encompass developmental biology, global change biology, neuroscience, and species interactions. We maintain robust collaborations with the Mathematics Department, Rosenstiel School of Marine & Atmospheric Science, Miller School of Medicine, Abess Center for Environmental Science & Policy, and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.
