The Master of Music in Keyboard Performance and Pedagogy program at the Frost School of Music requires 30 graduate credit hours beyond a Bachelor of Music degree in piano-focused fields, including solo performance, pedagogy, or collaborative piano. This program equips students for advanced teaching careers as private instructors or for pursuing doctoral studies in related areas.
Aligning with our institution's emphasis on hands-on learning, the Keyboard Performance and Pedagogy (KPED) graduate program uniquely blends academic coursework with practical performance experience. KPED students can choose to study with any of our distinguished piano faculty members. Additionally, our adaptable curriculum allows for personalized pedagogical training tailored to each student's experience and goals.
