The Adult Division prepares future clinical scientists through comprehensive training. Our curriculum covers contemporary psychological theories and knowledge, along with hands-on instruction in research methodology and statistical analysis. Students work closely with faculty on research projects throughout their graduate studies, gaining expertise in psychological evaluation methods and therapeutic approaches. As an APA-accredited clinical psychology program at UM, degree completion requires a supervised internship.
The typical timeline spans four to five years of study followed by a year-long internship. We aim to equip students with robust research experience and published work to enhance their career prospects after earning their doctorate.
