The Ocean Sciences (OCE) graduate program aims to equip students with deep expertise in critical ocean science specialties while fostering a comprehensive view of the ocean's role in Earth's systems. Students explore and enhance knowledge of physical, chemical, and biological ocean processes and their interconnections. They gain hands-on experience with ocean measurement tools, including field instruments and satellite sensors, along with laboratory analysis and computational modeling techniques. Program alumni emerge as global pioneers in ocean research, educators and advocates for ocean science, and influential figures in marine education, policy development, and conservation efforts.

Qualification Requirements
All applicants should review undergraduate preparation requirements and recommendations for a competitive application. In addition to satisfactory scores (as judged by the graduate program) on the appropriate tests, the general requirement for admission is a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 GPA average.
