The Community Well-Being (CWB) program aspires to serve as a center for active academic involvement in community wellness and societal transformation.

Its purpose is to cultivate scholar-practitioners who advance personal, interpersonal, and communal welfare through participatory research and grassroots initiatives.

The CWB curriculum develops action-oriented researchers dedicated to social equity, combining rigorous academic inquiry with hands-on community collaboration. Rooted in community psychology principles, the program emphasizes reciprocal partnerships between researchers and communities. Graduates pursue careers in higher education, research institutions, and governmental policy development.

Three letters of recommendation (2 academic and 1 from a practitioner/community member).
An interview (in person or via Skype or telephone),

Previous experience with community-based work
Ideas for developing a research program
Fit with at least one CWB faculty members research program and interest in working with in terms of background and interests. To be considered, applicants must identify a CWB faculty member they are interested in working with.
