The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is dedicated to achieving and sustaining excellence in undergraduate and graduate education, research, and community and national service through continuous improvement. We strive to accomplish this by delivering high-quality education and research programs that equip students with the essential knowledge and skills to take on leadership roles. These roles contribute to advancing the electrical and computer engineering technologies that support the global economy, foster a commitment to lifelong learning, prepare students for diverse career paths, and enable them to engage as responsible citizens in an ever-evolving and interconnected world.
This program is a structured and integrated curriculum comprising 151 credit hours. Students can choose from the available undergraduate options for Electrical Engineering Majors to pursue this program. It requires two core courses, ECE 715 and ECE 716, along with the choice of advanced technical electives.
Please note the following:
A minimum of 30 credit hours must be at the graduate level (600 or 700), with at least 12 of those at the 700 level. Specifically, besides ECE 715 (M.S. Design Project I) and ECE 716 (M.S. Design Project II), at least 6 credit hours must be in courses exclusively for graduate students (700 level).
