The Community and Applied Psychological Studies program combines personal, relational, societal, and communal perspectives to foster healthy growth and wellness. Formerly known as Human and Social Development (HSD), this major now operates under the CAPS designation.

Through examining academic and practical links between personal, relational, societal, and community-based change methods, students develop skills to recognize obstacles to wellness and create impactful intervention strategies. The CAPS curriculum focuses on theoretical foundations, research methods, and practical abilities. It concludes with a field placement aligned with student interests, equipping them for advanced education and professional opportunities.
