The University of Miami's Advertising program equips students with a solid grounding in advertising principles while enabling them to focus on specific industry areas that align with their abilities.
Degree seekers can choose between two specialized paths: creative advertising or advertising management. Both tracks teach students to develop strategic, impactful advertising campaigns for actual clients. Beyond the dynamic curriculum, the program provides valuable extracurricular opportunities to enhance learning. Eligible students can join internship initiatives, gaining professional experience in Miami's vibrant business landscape or other locations. UM advertising majors frequently secure internships with leading agencies including Crispin Porter Bogusky, Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett, Beber Silverstein, Alma DDB, and Young and Rubicam. Students have also gained experience at prominent organizations like Cosmopolitan and Glamour magazines, the Rachael Ray Show, MTV, Stella McCartney, and Universal Music Latin Entertainment.
