The Frost School of Music's Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy program equips students with foundational clinical skills. After finishing their studies, students undertake a six-month intensive clinical internship. Successful completion of this internship qualifies graduates to sit for the music therapy board certification exam and launch their professional careers.

This undergraduate program's coursework is grounded in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT), an evidence-based clinical framework. NMT applies neuroscience research about music's impact on brain function and behavior to address neurological, developmental, and medical conditions. The medical field's growing recognition of NMT methodology enhances career prospects for program alumni.
