Our master's program features four specialized tracks: Integrated Strategic Media, News and Storytelling, Visual Media, and Mass Media Research. Students select a focus area to tailor their coursework.
We provide an ideal environment for those seeking to enhance their expertise in journalism, advertising, public relations, strategic communication, and visual media. Our curriculum combines contemporary media theory with hands-on practice, requiring students to implement theoretical knowledge through practical applications like producing multimedia content, conducting innovative audience research, formulating crisis communication strategies, and refining storytelling techniques.
Courses are available both online and in-person, accommodating students across different time zones. We also provide three graduate certificate options: Entrepreneurial Journalism, which partners students with faculty and the Crews Center for Entrepreneurship to explore startup development, including opportunities to present business ideas to potential investors; Multimedia Storytelling, developing technical and narrative skills for today's media landscape; and Social Media Analysis and Strategies, focusing on public engagement and data interpretation through social platforms.
