The Exercise, Sport and Movement Sciences (ESMS) undergraduate program offers: A thorough introduction to exercise science through courses covering kinesiology, physiology, biomechanics, motor control, and fitness programming. Students learn both theoretical foundations and hands-on skills related to wellness promotion, exercise therapy, fitness assessment, workout planning, and athletic training. The curriculum examines the mechanics of human motion along with physiological systems such as musculoskeletal, nervous, circulatory, energy metabolism, and pulmonary functions - combining classroom instruction with lab work. During their final semester, students complete a 240-hour internship in their preferred specialization, gaining professional experience in the field. With approval from the lab director, participants may choose to fulfill this internship requirement at one of the university's Human Performance Laboratories.
