The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides: a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, and an accelerated dual major program enabling students to earn both degrees within five years.
An accelerated Bachelor's to Master's program permits eligible seniors to complete up to nine hours of dual undergraduate/graduate credit, facilitating the attainment of both BS and MS degrees in five years. Honors programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering emphasize personalized student mentoring.
A Graduate Certificate Program in Imaging and Signal Processing is available, along with Master's and Doctoral programs. Funded research spans from intelligent systems to biomedical imaging. Electrical and Computer Engineers are the architects of contemporary technology, creating everything from mobile devices and tablets to smart power grids and Mars rovers. They develop the communication protocols for phones, the electronic circuits enabling interaction via sound, sight, and touch, and the software that integrates with hardware to power the applications we rely on. If you aspire to be an innovator in high technology rather than merely a consumer, I invite you to explore our programs. As we equip students with problem-solving abilities, EECE graduates possess the expertise to pursue careers in electric power, biomedical technologies, and various other technical sectors, as well as in business, law, and medicine.
