The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering provides: a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. Students can pursue an accelerated dual-degree program, earning both Electrical and Computer Engineering majors within five years.
An accelerated BS-to-MS pathway enables qualified seniors to complete up to 9 credit hours counting toward both degrees, allowing them to obtain both bachelor's and master's degrees in five years. Honors programs in both disciplines emphasize personalized student mentoring.
Graduate offerings include a Certificate Program in Imaging and Signal Processing, a Master's degree, and a Doctoral program. Research funding spans diverse areas from intelligent systems to biomedical imaging. Electrical and Computer Engineers shape modern technology, developing everything from smartphones and tablets to smart energy networks and space exploration vehicles. They create communication protocols, design interactive circuitry, and develop software-hardware integration for applications we use daily. If you aspire to be an innovator rather than just a consumer of technology, we invite you to explore our programs. Our graduates emerge as skilled problem-solvers, prepared for careers not only in traditional engineering fields like power systems and biomedical tech, but also in business, law, and healthcare sectors.
