The Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management (KWS) at The University of Memphis was established in honor of Holiday Inns founder Kemmons Wilson, Sr. KWS delivers a curriculum blending classroom instruction with hands-on training in hospitality, resort, and tourism management, emphasizing global perspectives, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility. Our program builds upon traditional hospitality foundations while equipping students for modern careers in one of the planet's most expansive industries. Through practical training, students gain real-world experience at premier establishments including InterContinental Hotel Group, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Hotels, Peabody Hotel Group, Caesars Entertainment, and numerous other hospitality venues across hotels, restaurants, resorts, and tourism enterprises. As one of the most rapidly expanding professional sectors, this field offers exceptional career prospects, with KWS alumni fully equipped to excel in their chosen hospitality roles.
All students, both freshmen and transfer, must apply online for admission as an undergraduate student.

All international transfer applicants must have their international documents evaluated by a US credentialing agency that holds membership with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
