The objectives of the Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice program include: (a) demonstrating comprehension of key functions, structures, and core principles governing criminal justice operations (law enforcement, judiciary, corrections) within democratic societies; (b) gaining insight into the historical evolution and cross-cultural comparisons of criminal justice system components; (c) familiarizing with prominent theorists and conceptual frameworks explaining criminal conduct; (d) developing skills to interpret, examine, and critically assess fundamental research and statistical data related to crime and justice systems; (e) showing capability to develop research propositions and systematically evaluate relevant information; (f) mastering effective written and verbal communication techniques; (g) recognizing professional and academic pathways available with this undergraduate degree.
All students, both freshmen and transfer, must apply online for admission as an undergraduate student.
Applicants should upload a copy of their unofficial international transcript or marks sheet (high school/secondary or college/university) using our secure document upload system.
All international transfer applicants must have their international documents evaluated by a US credentialing agency that holds membership with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
English proficiency may be satisfied two ways:
A minimum score or greater on any of the following English language tests:
