Pursuing a graduate degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering involves rigorous advanced technical coursework. Specializations available are Environmental Engineering, Geoenvironmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Transportation Engineering. To earn the degree, students must complete either 30 credit hours of coursework, 24 credits plus a thesis suitable for publication, or 27 credits with a project report. Foundational undergraduate courses must be finished before enrolling in graduate classes, though some prerequisite and non-prerequisite graduate courses may be taken during the initial year with advisor approval.
