The Computer Engineering program at UMass Lowell delivers comprehensive knowledge of embedded hardware and software systems, along with stand-alone, distributed computing systems and computer networks.
Your coursework will include engineering science and design classes that present an integrated perspective of hardware, software, application considerations, fundamental modeling approaches, and computer-aided design tools.
Additionally, you'll enroll in humanities and social sciences courses to expand your awareness of how non-technical knowledge influences professional ethics and responsibilities.
A key feature of our program is the senior-year technical elective track, designed to expand or specialize technical expertise based on individual student interests and skills. Senior participants may also engage in a hands-on capstone project, creating tailored assistive technology solutions for clients through the Assistive Technology Program.
